Rotary Atomisers for Adiabatic Cooling and Humidification – Micron Sprayers Ltd.

Micron 2019
September 12, 2019

BROMYARD, U.K. — Micron Sprayers Ltd, established more than 60 years ago, specializes in the design of rotary atomisers for agriculture, forestry, public, and animal health spray applications. Micron rotary atomisers produce precisely controlled droplet sizes, which can be selected according to spray application requirements while offering low maintenance and energy requirements.

Now, Micron brings its expertise to humidification and cooling with the development of new designs using brushless motor technology for prolonged and maintenance-free operation. Two models are available, a larger direct drive unit with flow capacities of up to 180 liters per hour, and the more compact Micromiser unit, which can provide spray rates of up to 18 liters per hour. Each atomiser produces a fine mist of droplets ideal for mounting as integrated parts of AHUs or directly in-room as a low-energy humidification and cooling solution. There are also possibilities to build the atomiser units into other custom humidification and cooling solutions.

Micron’s centrifugal energy atomisers do not require high liquid pressures or small orifices, resulting in less risk of blockages as well as eliminating nozzle wear and any associated degradation of spray quality. Micron rotary atomisers offer efficient evaporative cooling and humidity management with minimal water volumes, significantly reducing energy costs compared to thermal, pneumatic, or hydraulic energy systems. As such, Micron rotary atomisers are perfectly suited for large- or small-scale installations. For more information, visit www.microngroup.com.
