Dewberry Opens Roanoke, Virginia, Office

Dewberry Frank
June 13, 2019

FAIRFAX, Va. — Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has opened a new office in Roanoke, Virginia, to serve clients in the region. The firm has also hired Frank Moeller, P.E., LEED AP, to lead the office’s mechanical and electrical engineering projects.

Dewberry’s long-term presence in Virginia spans more than 60 years with existing offices in Danville, Virginia Beach, Gainesville, Leesburg, Richmond, and Fairfax. The Roanoke office’s primary function will be to support projects and clients in southern and central Virginia.

Moeller joins the firm as a mechanical department discipline manager, providing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) technical and project leadership for clients in the Roanoke area, including those in the education, health care, and private sectors. He joins the firm having spent nearly 30 years practicing mechanical engineering for building systems across various markets.

“We could not be more pleased to welcome Frank to our rapidly growing team,” said Shepard Hockaday, P.E., LEED AP, senior vice president, Dewberry. “Frank’s background in building system design and his familiarity with the Roanoke region is a combination of assets that we believe will help grow our talent pool in the region allowing us to better fulfill our clients’ needs while also meeting their challenges with long-lasting solutions. Our new office in Roanoke will allow us to better support our clients in southern and central Virginia.”

Moeller states, “I’m excited to have joined the team at Dewberry, where I’ll be able to meet with clients face-to-face and understand their challenges and difficulties as they relate to the comfort and reliability of their building systems.”

Moeller graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (1989) and earned a construction documents technologist certification from the Construction Specifications Institute (1994). He is a member of the ASHRAE. The new office is located at 2109 Crystal Spring Avenue Southwest, Suite B, Roanoke, VA 24014-2413. For more information, visit www.dewberry.com.
