Stephen Dale to Demonstrate How to Create a ‘WOW’ Experience at AEC BuildTech

By Herb Woerpel
Dale, director of training

Dale, director of training, Power Selling Pros, will showcase how technicians must build a network of resources for success.

April 9, 2019

The inaugural AEC BuildTech Conference & Expo is a unique event spotlighting the latest design & building processes, products, and emerging technologies. This interactive, three-day convention — scheduled for April 30 to May 2 in Rosemont, Illinois — is designed to inform and inspire today’s entire building team, from innovative and influential architects to engineers, contractors, facility managers, owners, and more.

Educational sessions will include six separate tracks focused on HVACR/mechanical systems, building envelope, general contracting, flooring, plumbing, and roofing. As an attendee, you will walk away from this event with the connections and knowledge necessary to leverage tomorrow’s building processes and construction technologies.

Leading up to the event, Engineered Systems will showcase several of the presenters in the HVACR/mechanical systems track on www.esmagazine.com.

Stephen Dale

Stephen Dale boasts more than 20 years of experience as an operations manager in the home services industry, working for two large MEP companies in the Dallas area, where he grew up. He has been a coach and trainer with Power Selling Pros for the last three years, working with hundreds of companies and many vendors during his tenure.

From 3-4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, Dale will present “Creating a WOW Experience in the Field.”

“As a service professional in the HVAC industry, we have a responsibility to go beyond fixing things and checking boxes,” Dale said. “We have an opportunity to service our clients beyond the commodity we are offering through creating a memorable ‘WOW’ experience every time. Your customer’s experience defines your brand and is your differential advantage against any competition you have in your area of service.”

Most technicians got into the HVACR industry because they like to fix things and not because they love to sell things. During his presentation, Dale will examine the importance of forming relationships with clients.

“We need to go beyond selling and move into serving our clients understanding that our clients have emotional needs that must be addressed beyond just fixing their HVAC system,” he said. “We must connect on a personal level building relationship that create raving fans and loyalty.

As professionals in the HVAC industry, we have a responsibility to our homeowner and building engineers to educate, inform, and always provide them options on the best products our industry offers to create comfort, safety, and energy efficiency for their lives as well.”

Outside of his presentation, Dale said he’s looking forward to meeting those in attendance.

“I love networking with similar game changers in our industry to build long-term relationships as we work together as a resource for greatness,” he said.

Those attending the multifaceted AEC BuildTech event will certainly gain a competitive edge in in the near and long-term future, said Dale.

“Great is not good enough anymore,” he said. “You must adapt to technology, education, and build a network of resources for success. This conference provides a fantastic setting to do just that.”

Learning Objectives:
  • Discover why your customer's experience defines your Brand
  • How to compete on value and not price
  • Tools to create a WOW experience for your team and your clients
  • Winning moments through WOW
