DENVER — James Stieg has joined WSP USA, an engineering and professional services consultancy, as a vice president, mechanical engineer. He brings more than two decades of experience to the firm’s mechanical engineering team that is based in Greenwood Village, Colorado.

“James will be an integral member of the mechanical engineering team as we look to foster significant overall growth in the Denver market,” said Mark Montgomery, senior vice president, managing director for WSP USA’s Denver office. “James has a proven track record, generating quantifiable results for clients in the region. He brings a rich and varied background, having worked with clients across several business sectors over the last two decades. He has a deep understanding of operations, project management, and customer relationship management.”

Stieg most recently served as a senior associate, project manager for a local engineering firm overseeing a wide variety of projects in the science and technology, education, hospitality, commercial, health care, and sports/stadia sectors. Some of the projects that Stieg was involved in include the Westin Hotel and Public Transit Center at Denver International Airport, the Las Vegas Arena (T-Mobile Arena) in Las Vegas, and an addition to the University of Colorado, IMIG Music Building.

Stieg is an active member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) and an associate member of ASHRAE. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Lawrence Technological University.

In addition to his role at WSP, Stieg is an avid lover of the outdoors, which was the motivation behind his family’s move to Colorado in 2007. He looks forward to bringing his broad depth of experience and acumen of operational efficiencies to the team. For more information, visit www.wsp.com.
