Fujitsu announces organizational changes

IndustryNews
April 27, 2017

Fujitsu General America has announced that its Product Department is now part of the Sales Division. The company said several organizational changes have happened as a result of growth and expansion.

The improvements at Fujitsu General America Inc. (FGAI) are being made in an effort to improve working conditions and to enhance collaboration between departments.

The company has also made new hires. Fujitsu has announced the appointment of Christopher Correa as product manager. He will report to Kal Osman, director of product management. Correa will be responsible for the advancement and support of the Halcyon heat pump brand. Correa has been in the HVAC industry for 12 years. In addition to his general HVAC experience, he has also specialized in e-commerce. He is experienced in forecasting, strategic planning, competitive analyses, and marketing.

Fujitsu also appointed Terry Lawrence as sales engineer. Based in Southern California, Lawrence will report to Andy Armstrong, VP of sales and marketing. He will generate, develop, service, and support customers with designing and engineering of Airstage VRF systems.

Lawrence has been working in the HVAC industry in Southern California for his entire career. He has several years of experience with VRF, specifically with Fujitsu VRF while working at Ferguson Enterprises.

"With Terry's long history in the HVAC industry, specifically with VRF, I’m confident that he will help us make great strides in the VRF market in Southern California," said Armstrong.

Fujitsu recently announced other changes to the organization.

Satoshi Tomioka, currently general manager of VRF Division, has joined FGAI and will be in charge of all research and development in the U.S.

Tomokazu Hosoi, currently director of business development, has been promoted to vice president of business development.

Masakazu Taira will join FGAI from Japan HQ as senior marketing coordinator and will report to Wataru Iwasaki, director of sales and marketing.
