Franklin Control Systems launches new website, mobile app

IndustryNews
July 27, 2016

Franklin Control Systems (FCS) recently introduced a new website (www.franklin-controls.com) and mobile application. The company says the site allows distributors, dealers, and contractors to access the brand’s entire line-up of motor controls on PC or iOS devices.

Franklin-controls.com and the corresponding mobile app work in tandem. Once registered, any account activity on the mobile app will be mirrored when the user accesses their account on their desktop computer. For example, users can add an item to their favorites list using the app, and that change will be reflected on their computer when they get back to the office, and vice versa.

A product selection assist tool, called the Product Selection Wizard, is featured on both the website and mobile app, as is a quote builder tool. The Product Selection Wizard assists users by asking a series of questions specific to their application and directs them to an appropriate motor controller based on their answers. Once the user has selected their desired product(s), the quote builder tool assists in organizing the products into groups that correspond with various user-created projects or quotes. Registered users can add details to their quote such as the project name, date, contractor, and more. An unlimited number of products can be added to one quote, and individual products can be “tagged” to correspond with their respective motor for quick pairing at the jobsite.

Other tools have been integrated into the website and mobile app, including a distributor locator, which shows users where they can find FCS motor controls based on their location, and a technical library, which provides documents related to specific products.

Currently, iOS users can download the mobile application, but franklin-controls.com is scalable and fully functional on any mobile device.
