Trane to discuss HVAC careers, education at NC3 Summit
Trane will collaborate with educational and industry leaders nationwide to plan future technical skills training for tomorrow’s workforce. The manufacturer will take part in the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3) 2016 NC3 Annual Leadership Summit, July 25-26, at Gateway Technical College in Kenosha, WI. NC3 is a nonprofit organization which develops, implements, and sustains industry-recognized certifications.
Trane says it has a long-standing relationship working with NC3 to help advance career technical education by providing industry insight and guidance on the curriculum used for NC3 energy and HVAC certifications, both commercial and residential. The summit will gather educational leaders from community colleges nationwide as well as industry leaders from energy, manufacturing, and transportation.
Ryan Geister, applied systems leader for Trane, will serve as the conference keynote speaker. In his presentation on Tuesday, July 26 at 6 p.m., “It’s Not Your Father’s HVAC,” Geister will talk about the critical role that career education plays in preparing students for the technology-driven HVAC solutions of today. He will also address the importance energy efficiency plays in environmental stewardship and the bottom line.
