Fresh-Aire appoints international business development manager

IndustryNews
May 6, 2016

Fresh-Aire UV has named Stuart Engel as its international business development manager. Company representatives said Engel will help Fresh-Aire UV penetrate the European and Middle East/North Africa HVAC industry. He will also help Fresh-Aire UV further develop its U.S. commercial business and expand its specification manufacturer's representative network domestically.

"Stuart Engel is one the most recognizable names within the UV manufacturing industry and his 20-plus years of experience will help us navigate through the market penetration challenges of international markets outside of North America," said Ron Saunders, vice president of Fresh-Aire UV.

Engel is the co-founder and former vice president of UV equipment manufacturer Sanuvox Technologies Inc. where his experiences spanned from design/engineering and sales/marketing to mission planning, financial budgeting, and cost management. Prior to Sanuvox, Engel was also instrumental in bringing UV manufacturer, Second Wind Air Purifier, to market in the early 1990's when UV airborne and surface disinfection was a budding industry.

Engel has also served on numerous trade association technical committees including the International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA). He is a former chair of the International Standards Association (ISO) and a contributor to the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Handbook's UV technology chapters. Engel was also a driving force behind ASHRAE's UV technology acceptance.
