Distech Controls honored for economic growth in Quebec

IndustryNews
June 24, 2015

Distech Controls was recently named the Provincial Laureate, SME Exporter category, at the 21st edition of National Bank’s SME Awards. Distech Controls is a two-time SME Award recipient, having been named Bronze Laureate in the same category in 2014.

This award is presented to companies that have contributed to Quebec's economic growth and prosperity. Seven criteria were used to determine the top candidates in the SME Exporter category, including the management of quality, operations, finances, and human resources.

"True to its founding mission, National Bank has been committed to promoting the development of local businesses for over 150 years. The SME Awards pay tribute to the exceptional performance of Quebec companies and their leaders, along with their contribution to the economic and social vitality of the communities they serve. I would like to congratulate all the winners of this 21st edition of the awards for their outstanding work. Your commitment is a great example of our province's entrepreneurial spirit, and is a great source of pride for our institution," said Diane Giard, National Bank’s executive vice president of personal and commercial banking.

“As green technology advances, the fields of building automation and energy optimization will continue to grow and diversify. Distech Controls is committed to leading the way through innovation, quality, customer satisfaction, and sustainability,” said Etienne Veilleux, president and CEO of Distech Controls. “This award recognizes our successes at home and abroad, highlighting the importance of our company’s global reach and commitment to excellence. We are honored to be included on this list of outstanding companies and look forward to continuing this growth in the years to come with our exceptional network of partners and employees.”
