Jensen Hughes, Nexus Technical Services announce merger
Jensen Hughes and Nexus Technical Services Corp. in Oakbrook Terrace, IL, have reached a merger agreement. According to the companies, the merger enhances the position of the combined organization as a global leader providing fire protection and other specialty consulting services for the nuclear power and energy industry.
"The addition of Nexus continues the expansion of service offerings that meet our goal of advancing the science of safety, both within the nuclear power and energy industries as well as with institutional and commercial occupancies in the non-power marketplace,” said Phil Rogers, CEO of Jensen Hughs. “Nexus adds to our group a solid history of proven results with respected staff possessing strong technical talents. While this represents our fourth acquisition of the year, we will continue to seek out strategic opportunities for adding additional talent and complementary service offerings."
The company also reports that the merger will expand the technical resources available to provide engineering solutions to the nuclear energy industry as well as a broad range of fire protection engineering, code consulting, and property risk management services to commercial occupancies including office, institutional, and health care facilities.
The two companies have been preparing an integration plan designed to communicate the combined firm's increased capabilities to both current and prospective clients and staff. Officials said the integration process will begin immediately and leverage the strengths of both firms to include a well-planned, combined organization and operational structure.
