Cimetrics partners with ThingWorx Ready program

Industry News
March 17, 2015

Cimetrics Inc., a provider of analytical software and services, announced it has joined the ThingWorx Ready™ Partner program. Cimetrics will integrate its Analytika technology with the ThingWorx® IoT platform to offer customers another way to analyze complex data requirements.

"For more than 15 years, Cimetrics has been an innovator and industry leader in delivering physical world data analytics. We are thrilled about the opportunity to work with ThingWorx in enabling the future of smart, connected products, systems, and systems of systems," said Jim Lee, CEO of Cimetrics.

"Cimetrics' Analytika provides our ThingWorx customers with a powerful way to analyze their ‘System of Systems’ complex data requirements," said Chris Kuntz, vice president of Ecosystem Programs for ThingWorx. "We appreciate Cimetrics' proven analytics experience as part of our Partner Ecosystem and look forward to leveraging their years of machine data insights applied to a variety of IoT business challenges."

According to Cimetrics, Analytika for IoT provides model-based analytics that go beyond statistical and other traditional analytical methods. Models representing the underlying physics of the product or engineered system allow deeper understanding of cause and effect. Analytika for IoT provides the capability to rapidly build and evolve models of physical world things and systems. Sophisticated algorithms automatically analyze incoming data, identify opportunities, determine the root cause of faults, and deliver insights through visualizations and notifications.

Cimetrics' solution will leverage its Analytika platform in conjunction with the ThingWorx IoT platform to create advanced model-based analytical insight for IoT applications. When used together, the Analytika and ThingWorx platforms enable a variety of cost saving and revenue-enhancing value propositions such as predictive maintenance, asset optimization, and "product as a service."

Both companies claim the combination of the Analytika and ThingWorx IoT platforms will enable manufacturers, service providers, and owners to predict when maintenance is required, determine what spare parts and consumables are needed, and when they must be procured.
