Hilmor to award $10,000 scholarships
HVAC tool manufacturer Hilmor will award three $10,000 scholarships with its “Retool Your Future” program. The scholarships will be awarded to students who are currently enrolled, or will be enrolled, in a recognized HVACR training program.
Three students will win the $10,000 scholarships, a Hilmor merchandising “Green Wall” donated to their school, and travel to the 2014 AHR Expo in New York City. Additionally, each winner will receive a new Hilmor Starter Kit. The recently developed kit includes Hilmor’s Dual Readout Thermometer, 2-Valve Aluminum Manifold, Quick-Engage Flare and Swage, and Quick-Change Magnetic Nut Driver. The Starter Kit will be available for purchase at select distributors in August.
“Despite the fact that jobs in the HVACR industry are expected to grow, the industry is challenged to find skilled workers to fill these jobs,” said Andrea Halpin, senior marketing manager. “Hilmor created this scholarship contest as a way to encourage people to pursue a career in the HVACR industry.”
