Camfil APC opens UK manufacturing facility
Camfil Air Pollution Control has officially opened its new 40,000-sq-ft facility in the United Kingdom. The plant will serve industrial customers throughout the UK and Europe.
Camfil APC says it worked closely with the Rochdale Development Agency to find the best site for the plant, which is located in the Birch Business Park in Heywood, Greater Manchester. The facility has been operational since April with a current staff of 40 employees. When fully staffed, it will employ more than 100 people in engineering, manufacturing, and support positions. The plant includes a four-bay welding area, fabrication area, powder paint line, assembly area, and storage space.
"Camfil APC has developed into a global dust collection company over the past five years, with our biggest growth in the UK and European industrial markets,” said Lee Morgan, company president. “This strategically located facility allows us to expand our manufacturing capacity and service our European customer base more effectively. We are poised to deliver Farr Gold Series® dust collectors and related equipment fast and uphold our mission statement: to supply the best dust collector from an end-user and maintenance standpoint.”
