Rupp Industries, Inc. welcomes new ownership, announces name change

January 1, 2008

After investment company purchase, company will now be known as TEMP-AIR, Inc.

Rupp Industries, Inc. announced a change in ownership and a change in its name.  An investment group has purchased the 42-year-old company after several months of negotiation with Rupp Industries’ previous owners.

As part of the ownership change, the company has changed its name to TEMP-AIR, Inc. “The investment group is eager to share their knowledge and expertise with our current management team, and to work with all of us to determine tactical and strategic initiatives to further enhance this fine organization…They are confident the organization and its employees have a bright future, and wish to be part of the company’s continued growth and success,” stated TEMP-AIR president, Dick Brown.

Jim Korn, the new chief executive officer of TEMP-AIR, received a degree in economics from Providence College, played in the NHL for 11 years, and after retiring from the NHL, received his law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School.

“The primary things that attracted my interest in TEMP-AIR were the quality of the people, the quality of the products they manufacture, and the exceptional service that TEMP-AIR provides. It is my hope to build upon the tradition at TEMP-AIR of attracting quality people, manufacturing quality products and giving our customers outstanding service,” said Korn.
