Carrier offers Commercial System Design courses
Carrier University, operated by Carrier Corp., a unit of United Technologies Corp., offers a complete Commercial System Design program to support the ongoing professional development needs of engineers and designers.
“These courses are designed for consulting engineers, entry-level designers, salespeople, contractors, facility engineers and utility customer representatives involved in HVAC system design for commercial buildings,” noted Mary Milmoe, director of marketing communications for Carrier’s Building Systems and Services business unit.
During the courses, students will use electronic selection and design tools as well as complete hands-on-projects, including designing a variety of popular HVAC systems for commercial buildings. Many states are considering – or have already adopted – educational requirements to maintain professional licenses. Carrier’s design classes have been approved by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training for continuing education units (CEU). Carrier will award 3.75 CEUs to participants who successfully complete each one-week course.
The full-day classes, which began in July, can be taken individually or in succession. They will be held Monday through Friday at Carrier’s Bynum Training Center in Syracuse, NY.
