Xcel Energy recently announced that it has selected a developer to add more wind-generated electricity to its portfolio this year, further establishing the company as one of the nation¿s leading suppliers of renewable wind energy to consumers. Chanarambie Power Partners, LLC, will build wind turbines in southwestern Minnesota to add another 80 megawatts of wind power for Xcel Energy customers. That will be enough electricity to power more than 25,000 homes on an annual basis.
