Northern States Power Company (Minneapolis) has asked state regulators to revise the energy planning process to ensure an adequate electricity supply for its customers and to keep afloat in the rapidly-changing electricity marketplace. NPS made the request as it filed its 2000 Resource Plan with the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission. The plan analyzes the electricity need of NPS customers through 2015. The plan will be reviewed and commented upon during the next several months by the Minnesota Department of Commerce and others.
