DynCorp (Reston, VA) recently announced that its Ft. Belvoir division, a part of DynCorp Technical Services (DTS) LLC, has achieved ISO 9002 certification. The division, which was named the Department of the Army's Directorate of Public Works Contractor of the Year in 2000, is one of the only U.S. Army operations and maintenance contractors to become ISO 9002 certified. ISO 9002 is an internationally recognized body of standards intended to ensure effective and repeatable quality control in business practices.

At Ft. Belvoir, this program has led to changes at every level of the division's operations from the warehouse loading dock, where deliveries are examined for accuracy, to the post's fan control units, which were replaced by a better-performing and less expensive fan as the result of a submission to the program.
