Labelle assumes AMCA helm
Denis Labelle, Executive Vice President of T. A. Morrison & Co. Inc (TAMCO) of Ottawa, Ontario Canada, is the new president of the Air Movement and Control Association International (AMCA), having won election at the association’s annual meeting held in Savannah, GA.
For the past 16 years, Labelle has been an active participant and strong supporter of AMCA International, contributing to the development of many AMCA policies and strategic planning. Labelle served on several of the association’s committees and has faithfully attended both Midyear and Annual Meetings. Labelle was elected to the board of directors in 2001, where he served as Chairman of the Dues and Assessment Task Force and has served on the Executive Committee since 2006, including this past year as AMCA International’s Vice President.
As president, Labelle's area of focus will center on communications to both new and established members. For example, increased understanding of how each individual member contributes to AMCA’s growth in their industry segment. Mr. Labelle stated that he "plans to communicate how individual involvement on a committee or task force can be beneficial and worthwhile for member respective companies.”
Labelle began his career with Wire Rope Industries, a division of Noranda, Inc., in 1977 while attending the University of Montreal, where he received Certificates for Business Management. He assumed different Sales and Marketing positions culminating to the position of Director of International Sales. Labelle later succeeded in acquiring an ownership position with T. A. Morrison and Co. Inc. (TAMCO) in 1993 and has been overseeing the growth of TAMCO ever since.
