Case Study: Greenville HVAC Company Speeds Up Cable Suspension

South Carolina HVAC company moves from strut and all-thread to Griplock

GripLock
October 3, 2023

A leading HVAC company in Greenville, SC, recently incorporated Griplock Systems’ innovative HVAC cable suspension systems into their installation process. This case study examines how the HVAC company previously installed HVAC ductwork before adopting Griplock’s cable suspension systems, the estimated time savings achieved by using the product, and feedback from the company’s Project Manager regarding the experience of working with Griplock Systems.

Background:

The Greenville HVAC company had traditionally relied on strut and all-thread for the installation of HVAC ductwork. While this method had been effective, it often proved time-consuming and required additional labor. Seeking a more efficient solution, the company decided to explore alternative options and eventually discovered Griplock Systems’ HVAC cable suspension systems.

Installation Process before Griplock Systems:

The company previously used strut and all-thread almost exclusively for their HVAC ductwork installations. This involved measuring and cutting lengths of strut, attaching them to the ceiling or other structural supports, and threading all-thread rods through the strut. This process was effective but often labor-intensive and time-consuming.

Time Saved by Utilizing Griplock Cable Suspension Systems:

Upon implementing Griplock Systems’ HVAC cable suspension systems, the company estimated significant time savings. For one particular job involving the installation of approximately 150 feet of large spiral duct, the company estimated that they saved over a full day of work from an originally planned two-day job by using Griplock’s product – a 60% labor savings. The simplified installation process facilitated by the cable suspension systems contributed to this time reduction, enabling the installers to work more efficiently.

Feedback from the Project Manager:

The Project Manager for the company provided positive feedback about the experience of working with Griplock Systems. He stated that Griplock Systems was responsive, offering excellent customer service throughout the project. He also praised the quality of the product, mentioning that the HVAC cable suspension systems provided by Griplock Systems were of high quality and performed exceptionally well during the installation process. Based on his positive experience, he expressed his high recommendation for Griplock Systems, stating that he would highly recommend their products to anyone in need of efficient and reliable HVAC cable suspension systems.

Conclusion:

The Greenville HVAC company achieved significant time savings and improved efficiency by adopting Griplock Systems’ HVAC cable suspension systems, moving away from their previous reliance on strut and all-thread. The simplified installation process enabled the company to complete projects more quickly, as evidenced by an estimated 60%-time savings on a specific job. Additionally, the Project Manager expressed high praise for Griplock Systems, highlighting their responsiveness, the quality of their product, and his strong recommendation for their HVAC cable suspension systems.
