Cal-SMACNA cancels lobbying event

Officials with the California chapter of the Sheet Metal and Air-Conditioning Contractors’ National Association said Friday that they are canceling the group’s annual Day at the Capitol lobbying event.
The gathering was scheduled for Feb. 8-9 at the state capitol in Sacramento. Instead of the lobbying day, one of Cal-SMACNA’s lobbyists will be visiting local chapters to discuss issues with members.
CAL-SMACNA plans to resume its lobbying day in 2011, officials said.
