Resource Conservation Technologies Inc.: Drain Pan Water Sensor

The AG-3180E is an electric water sensor that is mounted directly in the primary drain pan of commercial package units with one multipositional thumbscrew. The solid state 5-A sensor has no moving parts to break down or become clogged and senses water in both the primary and secondary pan. The water sensor has 6 feet of plenum-rated wire that connects to the primary pan water sensor as required by code. It also includes a secondary drain pan switch that can be set in the bottom of the secondary pan. According to the manufacturer, it is the perfect solution for meeting the new requirements of 2009 International Mechanical Code 307.2.3.1, which is currently in effect. Contractors can call the manufacturer directly at 888-708-6622 to request a free water sensor to try.
