YORK, Pa. - York International Corp.'s Unitary Products Group (UPG) announced that it has been working cooperatively with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC, Washington) on a voluntary recall affecting certain Coleman®, Coleman Evcon, and Red T gas furnaces used exclusively in manufactured homes.
According to the CPSC, these furnaces can overheat, causing heat exchanger cracking, burn-through, and, in extreme cases, furnace wrapper burn-through. "This can lead to heating and possible burning of drywall and other combustibles adjacent to the furnace," stated the commission.
