Ryan Murphy, owner and founder of Murphy Heating and Cooling, started his business in 2016.

It was mission accomplished, as Murphy did just that while quickly reinvesting in the company. Today they have 20 employees.

Murphy Heating and Cooling has garnered more than 450 5-star Google reviews and also has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. The company was also voted 2022 Best Contractor to Work for by this publication.

“My goal is to become the leading HVAC company in the Connecticut market, while maintaining an employee-focused culture,” Murphy said.

Every two years, Ryan will send every employee and their spouse on an all-expenses-paid vacation — he calls them “The Murphy Experience.” These aren't your typical company picnics at an amusement park, either. Two years ago, he took everyone to stay in a waterfront mansion in Miami for three nights and four days. This year, the company is headed out on a five-night cruise to Bermuda.
