Oct. 31, 2013: Cooling Capacity Assessment Service Introduced for Data Centers
Service Will Give Data Center Managers Information Needed to Improve Cooling Capacity
ORLANDO, Fla. — Upsite Technologies, Inc., a provider of data center airflow management solutions, announced its newest offering, the EnergyLok Cooling Capacity Assessment. The new service combines the company’s industry knowledge and cooling capacity factor (CCF) methodology to help data centers assess their cooling infrastructure and identify savings opportunities that could be realized through applying airflow management (AFM) best practices.
Upsite Technologies said only 13 percent of the data centers it has reviewed maximized their cooling capacity, indicating low implementation for AFM best practices despite a perceived high level of awareness. The company said its EnergyLok Cooling Capacity Assessment bridges this gap by identifying opportunities for cooling efficiency and cost savings through an assessment of a data center’s cooling infrastructure utilization.
