PITTSBURGH — The Affordable Comfort Inc. (ACI) board of directors has announced the resignation of CEO Amy Fazio. Fazio joined ACI in February 2010 and the board said she successfully led the organization through a time when the industry faced several significant challenges, including the end of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funding, a damaged economy, and the recent sequestration.

“We are thankful for Amy’s leadership over the past three years during which time ACI has undergone a number of changes to encourage and facilitate industry growth while also achieving financial security for the organization,” said Keith Aldridge, chair of ACI’s board of directors. “We approach this change in ACI leadership with optimism and know it will foster new relationships, ideas, and opportunities for the continued success of this professional association.”

The board of directors is currently conducting a search for an interim executive director to replace Fazio. In the meantime, ACI’s current director of marketing, Rebecca Sentner, and current director of programs, Nate Natale, are serving as acting co-executive directors.
