International Comfort Products: Split System Communicating System

Split System Communicating SystemThe Observer™ communicating system features Tempstar® equipment with optimized system performance. According to the company, the Observer communicating system features split-system equipment that is designed to work with the Observer communicating wall control and meet the needs of virtually every application. The communicating system includes various models of air conditioners, heat pumps, gas furnaces, and fan coils. The communicating system features self-configuration installation and text-based diagnostics when the communicating Tempstar split-system equipment is installed with the Observer communicating wall control. It will automatically configure the system for optimized airflows based on factory-engineered calculations. There are no dip switches to set, no need to look up wiring diagrams, and there is less opportunity for error, resulting in faster installation and fewer callbacks, said the manufacturer. The wall control is programmed with more than 50 different fault-code text messages, so complex error codes do not have to be looked up in a manual. The last 10 diagnostic fault messages are viewable on the touch screen. Dealers can load contact information to display for the homeowner during a fault or as a maintenance reminder. Fully programmable with auto mode and a manual operation option, the Observer communicating wall control is simple to program with options for four events per day for seven days. It is dual-fuel compatible and features multiple hold options, constant-speed fan choices capability, and humidity control.
