John Kennedy (R-La.) and Tom Carper (D-Del.), The American Innovation and Manufacturing Act of 2019 would authorize the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to establish a national phasedown schedule for a group of refrigerants known as hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) because of their high global warming potential.
The increase, which is up 6.9% from 2017, is fueled by market drivers, such as U.S. tax cuts, the country’s increasing population, and an increase in industrial construction — particularly the cold storage and warehouse segments.
