STEEL MARKET

A healthy steel industry is essential to ductwork fabrication

By Emell Derra Adolphus
June 12, 2019

It’s Here! What you’ve been waiting for.

After countless comments, long letters and endless emails, we are finally doing it: This month, SNIPS is launching a new steel report section on SNIPSmag.com that is solely dedicated to our coverage of the steel market.

You can expect this special steel section to have market reports, insights from industry experts, explanatory videos, and, of course, profiles on steel producers from around the country.

Needless to say, news coming out of the steel market has been a little … weird as of late. One day steel tariffs are good; the next day steel tariffs are bad. One day President Trump is claiming a trade war triumph; the next day we are knee-deep in more trade trash talk.

It all can be very confusing without someone or something to show you the way forward in the HVAC industry. Let that be us.

Beyond the politics of it all, and there are many, our focus has always been on business — giving you the tools you need to gain a competitive edge. That will be the spirit of this section on SNIPSmag.com, and that will continue to be the spirit of SNIPS magazine. But don’t take my word for it. Let this month’s big feature on our launch of the steel report section do all the talking. You’ll find the rest online.

P.S. If you want to offer your insight, comments, praise or pans about issues related to the current steel market, send an email with your pitch to adolphuse@bnpmedia.com. This story originally appeared in the June 2019 issue of SNIPS magazine.
