Entries must be submitted by the
deadline to Lisa Tryson, Danfoss’ public relations and corporate communications
director.
Building
owners, product users and equipment makers have until April 29 to enter Danfoss’
2011 EnVisioneer of the Year competition.
HVAC
equipment maker Danfoss holds the contest annually for companies and owners
that have invested in upgrades, introduced new products or opened new
facilities in the last 18 months where Danfoss products were used to save energy
or the environment.
“Last year’s winner, Mars Super
Markets, set the bar high with an energy efficiency program that saved the
company more than 3 million kilowatt-hours per year at its retail stores,
distribution center and corporate headquarters in Baltimore, Md.,” said Robert
Wilkins, president of Danfoss North America. “The Mars initiative clearly
demonstrated a winning approach to energy efficiency that successfully combined
engineering innovation and environmental responsibility.”
Contest applications must be
submitted by the deadline to Lisa Tryson, Danfoss’ public relations and
corporate communications director.
“The opportunity to publicly
recognize the award winner’s achievement and at the same time, support the
efforts of other organizations that are also working to advance energy
efficiency enhances the value of the EnVisioneer of the Year award,” Tryson said.
“This year, we are proud to recognize the EnVisioneer of the Year with a
donation in their honor to Rebuilding Together, the nation’s leading nonprofit
working to preserve affordable home ownership and revitalize communities.”
Rebuilding Together provides
free home renovations to low-income U.S. citizens.
