LonMark in Show Spotlight

FRANKFURT, Germany - The light+building 2006 trade fair reported a 16 percent increase in visitors totalling 134,489 and the best ever exhibitor and visitor satisfaction ratings, according to figures from the organizers.

More than 40 LonMarkÂ® member companies from LonMark Germany and LonMark International were represented at the trade fair this year. The focus was on building automation and energy efficiency. The main LonMark display provided detailed information on LonMark, while member companies highlighted such innovations as the intelligent control of LEDs and street lighting systems.

SafetyLon, a further development that covers safety-critical applications, was also presented. Products ranging from home automation, building controls, and energy efficient lighting controls to smart carpeting were but a few of the many new products and technologies displayed.

"At light+building we presented the extensive benefits, enormous advantages, and numerous applications of LonWorksÂ® technology," said Harald Hasenclever, managing director of LonMark Germany. "Interest in LonWorks was almost overwhelming."
