Johnson Controls: Packaged Heating and Cooling Units

The York® Sunline Magnum™ packaged heating and cooling units combine high efficiency and advanced economizer controls with installation flexibility and low installed costs, said the company. The 14 SEER convertible single package units, available in 3-, 4- and 5-ton sizes, share a common footprint for easy installation on a roof curb, slab, roof jack, or frame. Gas and electric utility knockouts are provided on the units’ sides and bottom for easy connections, and the convertible airflow design eliminates the need for panel cutting or an accessory panel. The EER of the line ranges from 11.6 to 12. Single-phase models with gas heat have a minimum AFUE of 80 percent. The compressor in each unit is internally protected against high pressure and temperature, and the heat exchanger is corrosion-resistant, with aluminized steel tubular construction for durability. The Sunline Magnum line of packaged units features a Simplicity® control board with an integrated low-ambient control, anti-short cycle protection, fan delays, safety monitoring, nuisance trip protection, and onboard diagnostics. Factory-installed options include a stainless steel heat exchanger, electric heating elements, single enthalpy economizer, coil guard, dirty filter switch, hinged filter door, and toolless access panels. A complete line of field-installed options is also available, featuring propane and high-altitude conversion kits, motorized dampers, single enthalpy economizers, and dual enthalpy sensors.
