ARLINGTON, Va. - North American Technician Excellence (NATE) announced that it is giving all HVACR contractors the opportunity to “get in the game” in 2008 by competing in its inaugural NATE Bowl contest, “a fun, inclusive, and rewarding way to build interest in getting more technicians certified and recertified in 2008.”

Rex Boynton, president of NATE, said, “NATE Bowl is our way of creating some good-natured competition among contractors and to provide a wide-array of exciting rewards for what most of them are already doing - improving the professionalism of the HVACR industry.”

NATE Bowl, which officially kicks off on Feb. 1, is designed to get more technicians NATE-certified, or recertified, in 2008. For contractors, the organization said, that can mean fewer callbacks, less time per job, and greater efficiency and productivity.

A variety of prizes will be awarded monthly in respective “divisions,” which are based on the size of the contractor. In late 2008, the grand prize will be awarded - an all-expense-paid trip for two to Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa, Fla., in 2009.

Boynton added, “This contest is open to all HVACR contractors of any size nationwide without regard to their technicians’ NATE-certification status. They simply need to go to www.natex.org for more information and to register.”
