BIXBY, Okla. - Eddie Woods, owner of Meeko Heating and Air, has developed a patent-pending technology, called Quality Efficiency Assurance, that is said to help significantly reduce refrigerant leakage, according to an article in the newspaperTulsa World. Detailed testing began earlier this year on a prototype.

According to information on the company's Web site (www.meekoworld.com), the QEA device was designed to better assure a proper vacuum by allowing access to refrigerant charging points only if the correct vacuum is present.

The Environmental Controls Division of Meeko is currently accepting proposals for the manufacture of QEA. Manufacturing, assembly, and joint venture proposals are being accepted from qualified companies. To be considered, interested parties must first submit a summary of qualifications along with a signed copy of the Meeko confidentiality agreement.
