DUXBURY, Mass. - Robert (Red) Fawcett, president of Duxbury Oil, announced that this year's Robert W. Fawcett Memorial Scholarship has been awarded to Duxbury High School graduates Michael Dahlen and Chelsea Levesque.

Dahlen will attend Assumption College in Worcester, where he plans to study Business Management. Levesque plans to begin her studies in Forensic Chemistry at Western New England College in Springfield, Mass.

Each year, the Robert W. Fawcett Memorial Scholarship is awarded to graduating high school seniors who exhibit a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a constant pursuit of success, both in and out of the classroom, the company said. The scholarship was named after the late Robert W. Fawcett, a graduate of Exeter Academy and Harvard University, as well as the third-generation president of the Fawcett Companies. The late Mr. Fawcett was instrumental in the founding of the New England Fuel Institute (NEFI), which today is a nationally recognized association in the heating oil industry.

"We were very impressed with the caliber of the students who applied for this year's scholarship," said Red Fawcett. "Both Michael and Chelsea demonstrate dedication, maturity, and a constant drive for achievement. We are thrilled to provide these outstanding seniors with the opportunity to pursue their higher education goals, and we wish them luck in their future endeavors."
