Aug. 17, 2005: Women's Chamber Of Commerce Offers Online Learning
WASHINGTON - The U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce (USWCC) has launched an online education resource - the USWCC University of Learning - designed to help women grow their business acumen, leadership skills, and economic opportunities. According to the organization, the USWCC University of Learning offers no- or low-cost virtual classroom learning; an easy-to-use registration process for classes and meetings; and access to archive articles, white papers, message boards, meetings, and discussions.
"Business owners and career professionals have schedules that often don't allow them to enroll in traditional and even nontraditional educational programs," said Margot Dorfman, CEO of the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce. "Family, business, job, and personal commitments keep us from pursuing or finishing a degree - or enrolling in a class that will help us expand our business skills - or even meeting up with a group of contemporaries who share our interests, needs, and aspirations.
