MIDDLEFIELD, Conn. — Cooper-Atkins has purchased KTG Inc. of Cincinnati, a developer of wireless systems for hot and cold temperature monitoring. KTG products will be marketed under the Atkins brand name.

Carol P. Wallace, CEO of Cooper-Atkins, believes that this product line enhancement of hardware and software from KTG will expand the scope of capabilities that Atkins will be able to offer its customers.

“The combination of KTG’s state-of-the-art capabilities with Atkin’s cutting-edge technology is a natural one,” said Wallace.

“We’re blending together the specialized skills of recognized leaders within the industry to help our customers around the world to ensure safe food and healthy indoor environments.”

KTG founder, Jack Kennamer, will continue to serve as a key executive within the company. He will immediately begin to work with Cooper-Atkins to begin integrating the KTG line under the Atkins name.
