  • The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) (Rosslyn, VA) has released two new standards, NEMA KS 1, “Enclosed and Miscellaneous Distribution Equipment Switches (600 Volts Maximum),” and NEMA NU 2, “Performance Measurements of Positron Emission Tomographs.” To purchase either standard, call Global Engineering Documents at 800-854-7179 or visit www.global.ihs.com (website).

  • The Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA) College of Fellows (Chantilly, VA) has awarded three $1,200 scholarships for the 2001-2002 academic year. This year’s recipients are John Loos (Sterling, IL), Melinda Rost (Seattle, WA), and Heather White (Saginaw, MI).
