GILBERT, Ariz. — Andrew John, owner of John’s Refrigeration Heating and Cooling, has announced the expansion of the company with the acquisition of another locally-owned HVAC business: Rom-air Inc. of Mesa, Arizona. John’s has been a family-owned business operating in the Phoenix metro area since 1970.

Rom-Air, in business since 1983, was also a second generation, family-owned business like John’s. After 32 years of servicing his customers’ air conditioning and heating needs, Rom-air’s owner, Steven Ransom, decided to retire and sell his business. “Before making this difficult decision, I searched for a company with similar values: honesty, integrity, a strong work ethic, and trust,” said Ransom. He found what he was looking for in John’s. “Andrew and I consider this a mutually beneficial union that also allows both Rom-Air’s and John’s customers to benefit from the long-time expertise and stellar reputation that both our companies have.”

HVAC brands including American Standard, Carrier, Trane, Lennox, and Amana are installed and repaired by John’s, as well as the new John’s brand the company rolled out recently. John’s also offers IAQ, energy audit, and maintenance services.
