Sept. 11, 2014: Southland Industries Unites Departments to Create Southland Service
New Division Will Provide a More Focused and Aligned Approach
UNION CITY, Calif. — Southland Industries, one of the nation’s largest mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) contractors, announced that it is uniting its service and building automation controls departments into a single division, called Southland Service. Led by Joe Cvetas, executive vice president, the company said Southland Service will work to amplify the firm’s service and building automation offerings.
Through a more focused and aligned approach, the company said Southland Service will be able to offer customers the same capabilities and quality service no matter which region of the country they reside. Chris Lofaso, newly appointed vice president of service and building automation, will oversee all service and controls related initiatives across the company and will be largely responsible for the growth of the new division. Lofaso comes to Southland with over 30 years of experience in the building technology industry. He is also a registered professional engineer.
