HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Lime Energy Co., a provider of energy efficiency solutions for small businesses, announced that the company has partnered with National Resource Management Inc. (NRM), a supplier of energy-efficient refrigeration solutions. Lime Energy and NRM have completed development work that enables NRM’s suite of refrigeration solutions to be deployed through Lime Energy’s web-based technology platform. The result is that these solutions can be provided to thousands of small businesses within the small business energy efficiency programs that Lime implements on behalf of its utility clients.

The companies are working together across several utility territories and states where they are bringing refrigeration upgrades along with other measures to deliver energy efficiency projects to small businesses — long considered a hard to reach market, said the companies. Refrigeration is among the leading operating costs for many small businesses, and participation in Lime Energy’s utility programs can significantly reduce this cost while providing facilities with needed upgrades.

“High costs of operating refrigeration systems can be a major concern to a small business customer, and Lime Energy is thrilled to be working with a company that is a leader in this specialty,” said Adam Procell, Lime Energy’s president and chief executive officer. “The NRM partnership validates Lime Energy’s integrated services model, a channel through which we are able to bring small businesses the energy solutions that they cannot access on their own.”

“We are very excited to partner with Lime Energy,” said Jim Staley, NRM’s chief operating officer. “Lime is able to reach thousands of small business customers a year and with the addition of NRM’s energy saving refrigeration technology, customers will be presented with a comprehensive suite of energy-efficient solutions for their business. We are both aligned with the same goals — helping businesses save money by reducing energy consumption and helping utilities reach their MWH savings targets.”
