SUWANEE, Ga. — Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division kicked off the first of two Diamond Contractor Conferences in Duluth, Ga., with more than 170 Diamond Contractors attending the two-day event at the Sonesta Gwinnett Place Atlanta Hotel.

Mitsubishi Holds Diamond Conferences“Mitsubishi Electric’s success is largely due to contractors who have made a commitment to our company by not only selling our products exceptionally well, but going above and beyond by pursuing educational and training opportunities required to earn the Diamond Contractor status,” said Bud Nardello, vice president of sales, Mitsubishi Electric. “Providing contractors with tools to grow their businesses is one of the many benefits that comes with being a Diamond Contractor, and a way of showing our steadfast appreciation and support.”

As part of the Diamond Contractor Program, the Diamond Contractor Conference educated contractors on the valuable business-building benefits of ductless technology. The conference consisted of training and networking opportunities as well as presentations and breakout sessions covering topics such as business-building tips, in-home selling techniques, and the profitability of selling ductless technology.

Motivational speaker Tony Jeary gave the conference’s opening remarks and also the closing address. Weldon Long delivered the opening address on the second day of the conference.

The series of conferences — a second, identical version will be held Oct. 7-9 — is the latest in a package of benefits provided exclusively to contractors who have earned the Diamond Contractor designation. Other benefits include automatic lead generation, financing options, training discounts, extended warranty options, access to marketing resources and co-op funds, and other benefits geared toward helping contractors grow their businesses. To earn Diamond Contractor status, contractors must meet significant education, sales, and licensing requirements.

“The first sold-out conference was a great success, and more than 190 contractors are already scheduled to attend our sold-out Diamond Contractor Conference in October,” said Nardello. “Since entering the ductless market in 1982, we have been committed to growing our network of contractors, and now we have one of the most extensive networks of qualified contractors available. Their success is integral to our success, and we are pleased that the Diamond Contractor conferences will benefit so many of them.”
