PULASKI, N.Y. — The Fulton Companies, a global manufacturer of steam, hydronic, and thermal fluid heat transfer products, announced the appointment of Chief Engineer Melissa M. Wadkinson, P.E., to three National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors subcommittees, each for a three-year term. The appointments include the National Board Inspection Code (NBIC) Subcommittee Installation (Boilers); NBIC Subcommittee Installation (Pressure Vessels and Piping); and NBIC Subcommittee Installation (I). In addition to these recent appointments, Wadkinson serves on the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) – Member BPV Committee on Heating Boilers (BPV IV) and is the chair of the ASME Subgroup on Care of Operation of Heating Boilers (BPV IV).

Wadkinson holds a Master of Business Administration from Syracuse University; a Master of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Massachusetts; and a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Virginia. She has several industry publication credits, including reports for the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Department of Energy. She has been with The Fulton Companies since 1994.

The National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors was created in 1919 to promote greater safety to life and property through uniformity in the construction, installation, repair, maintenance, and inspection of pressure equipment. The National Board oversees adherence to laws, rules, and regulations relating to boilers and pressure vessels.
