SMACNA Unveils Survey

CHANTILLY, Va. — The Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA) 2012 Financial Survey Report is now available for SMACNA contractors.

Reflecting SMACNA’s commitment to the financial education of its members, the report provides financial benchmarking tools specifically for the sheet metal and HVAC industry.

As a contractor measures its operation against the industry and plans for the future, the data may be used to help prepare budgets, financial reports, and strategic plans — as well as to justify financial figures to customers, lenders, and sureties. The report provides an analysis of the survey results with general trend information and detailed analyses based on various financial measures, broken out by all respondents and those in the top 25 percent.

Conducted by Moss Adams LLP, the report is available for free to participating members, along with a free personalized Company Performance Review that shows their company’s financial ratio benchmarks alongside the industry aggregate. New this year, participating members also are offered a complimentary financial ratio report that includes more in-depth analysis and an opportunity to discuss the results with one of the professionals at Moss Adams.

SMACNA firms that did not participate in the survey may purchase the “2012 Financial Survey Report,” available for download in PDF format, for $165 at www.smacna.org/bookstore.
