Therm-Omega-Tech: Drain Tempering Valve

valveWith twice the flow capacity of its original drain tempering valve (DTV), the new 1-inch DTV valve is available. The valve is designed in response to customer demand for a valve that can be used in applications where a high volume of effluent must be tempered. According to the manufacturer, the valve can help solve issues in common applications where water over 140°F becomes a concern, which can include boiler blow down, commercial dishwashers, laundries, discharge from humidifiers, autoclaves, commercial coffee makers, and condensate drains. The valve is completely self-operating and easy to install. Since the DTV valve is open only when the effluent exceeds the specified set point temperature, it also conserves water by automatically turning off cold water when not needed.
