• The Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) has announced that during the association’s annual meeting, the 2011-2012 HRAI board of directors were appointed: Ron Robinson, chair; Colin Jennings, past chair, Keith Werner, vice chair and chair — wholesalers division, David Morden, secretary treasurer and chair — manufacturers division, Marc Gendron, chair — Contractors division, Peter Henderson, vice chair, — wholesalers division, Jim Flowers, vice chair — manufacturers division, and Warren Heeley, president.

• The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) has named 12 new distinguished lecturers, who provide society chapters with noted authorities and speak on relevant topics that impact the HVACR industry.
