EAST PETERSBURG, Pa. - The National Association of Oil Heating Service Managers (NAOHSM) will be hosting its 56th Annual Convention & Trade Show, May 17-21, 2009 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center in Hershey, Pa. NAOHSM noted that at the convention it will be highlighting two of the hot topics featured in the U.S. economic stimulus package - energy and education.

Monday, May 18, is NAOHSM’s Management Day. There will be an introductory class on using Manual J load calculation software. In the morning a class will be offered for attendees with some knowledge of load calculation where an overview of the software’s capabilities will be covered. The afternoon session is geared more toward those with experience using load calculation software and will focus on the power of integrated design for room-by-room load calculations. There is also a roundtable session on outdoor resets with several reset control manufacturers scheduled for the afternoon.

On Tuesday and Wednesday there will be a variety of classes to choose from including: helping consumers save energy; recent updates on Bioheat®; geothermal; chimneys; new and emerging technologies in oilheat; solar; ECM motors; and more. On Wednesday morning Dan Holohan will present his “Travelogue of Heating Around the World.” All classes are free and most of the classes earn NORA and NATE CEUs.

NAOHSM also noted that it has new hours for its trade show this year. The doors open at 11 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday. A variety of alternative energy products will be displayed on the show floor this year, but oil-fired products will continue to be the focus of the trade show.
