Palmer Wahl now has the Heat Spy 170 thermal imaging camera, which the company says is beneficial for electricians, plumbers, building inspectors and facility managers. The new imagers feature SpyLite thermal view to reveal only the temperatures above or below a set point, drawing attention to specific areas of concern requiring further assessment. The 170 series also includes a thermal and visible video recording feature for users to document temperature surveys as video or image files, which are stored on the included 8-gigabyte micro SD card.

There is also a Bluetooth connectivity feature for users to transfer files to their computers, manage imager settings and files, or view live video output. The 170 series also has an impact-resistant design to withstand a 2-meter drop for dependability with daily use in rugged environments. For extra protection, the 170 series also includes a no-fault warranty.
