Over time, the fortunes of multiemployer plans and their participants mirrored the economic conditions of the industries they served. Eventually, many of these plans became unfunded, and that is where all the trouble really took root.

In addition to the new product showcase, numerous other sessions tackled subjects from new technology to innovative business ideas, new marketing opportunities, and industry-related legislation.

Over two days, attendees participated in panel discussions, attended presentations, and visited roughly 125 different congressional offices to advocate for their respective organizations and industry.
