ASHRAE announced it is awarding 33 students with $164,000 worth of scholarship funds for the 2016-17 school year. Over the course of 28 years ASHRAE said it has awarded more than $1.78 million to over 360 deserving undergraduate students.
The Clifford H. “Ted” Rees Jr. Scholarship Foundation, a charitable foundation of the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) and ACCA, announced scholarship awards totaling $63,000 to 37 students, including four veterans, studying to become technicians in the HVACR and water heating industry.
Carrier distributors nationwide have identified the recipients of their annual college scholarship, and awarded grants this year totaling nearly $40,000. Each year, the Carrier & Bryant Distributors’ Education Foundation awards 25 scholarships to outstanding students who are the children of Carrier and Bryant dealers.

The Hussmann Scholarship will be awarded to students at Emily Griffith who intend to pursue a career in the HVACR service field. Scholarship funds may be used by students to pay for tuition, books, or tools.

Designed to aid current and future HVACR students, the scholarship contest awards six grand prizes consisting of a $5,000 scholarship, a trip to the 2016 AHR Expo in Orlando, Florida, and a set of hilmor tools.
